As a Genome Analyst, you’ll work with sequencing data and help produce clinically relevant insights by interpreting genomic data and supporting laboratory research operations. Training and guidance are typically provided to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
As a Genome Analyst at MedGenome Labs, your core duties will include:
- Reviewing QC data from NGS and genetic tests.
- Analyzing sequenced variants (NGS/Sanger sequencing) and preparing reports.
- Working with internal teams (bioinformatics and lab staff) to interpret genetic data.
- Assisting with literature review and genomic data interpretation.
- Participating in internal research projects and molecular biology support as needed.
These responsibilities help ensure accurate, scientifically valid reports for genetic diagnostics and research activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, ideal candidates should have:
✔ Education: M.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
✔ Experience: 0–2 years of relevant genomics or laboratory experience (freshers welcome in some cases).
✔ Familiarity with NGS data interpretation and variant analysis.
✔ Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
✔ Excellent communication and documentation skills.
